Florence Platford is one of GG’s London-based collective members. As well as writing, putting together installations, and researching surrealism and secret societies, she’s a great cook. She’s put together a pair of recipes with some heat to dispel the cold and bring in Spring.

Bryony Bates’ work has been described as “angry sex poetry” – with some tongue in cheek, admittedly, though she says as taglines go it’s accurate enough. She’s a poet and writer living in Manchester, and a long time friend and some time collaborator of Generic Greeting. In a side room at the Central Library, she met with Joey Frances to talk poetry.

What inspires Jack Mcconnell? Other people, conversation and even doing something badly. Jack’s an illustrator living in south Manchester. His work uses bright colours and bold patterns that immediately draw the eye to his figures of humans, animals and mythical beings.
