Generic Mix #20: Greetings From Project Ozma

Changez has been on our radar for a while. Quietly making moves behind the scene for some time, the elusive producers stripped back house and techno jams have caught the ears of many, including the likes Dance Mania legend Parris Mitchell.

Generic Mix #19: Greetings From Alex David

Hailing from Australia’s musical hot spot Melbourne, Alex David has carved out a solid reputation over the past decade for not only his DJ skills but the string of quality events he has run over the years. A finely tuned ear for musical magic and a passion for frivolous fun, Alex is a true party player and with this mix he offers a fancy free trip into the good time vibes he builds.

Generic Mix #18: Greetings From Heads Up

This marathon 140 minute session from heroic crate digging collective and club night Heads Up demonstrates how awe-inspiring and inspiring such mixes can be. Put together by residents Cutwerk, Jon Bevan, Adam Seed and Paul Owen the mixes spans an esoteric mix of eras, genres and sounds with a masterful flair that allows the music to flow in a meaningful and lucid way

Generic Mix #16: Cosmic Tones & Variable Sound by Kernon

Cosmic Tones & Variable Sound is perhaps the most esoteric mix we’ve had so far. It transverses the rawest of raw jazz, through Mark Fell’s hardware glitches, all the way to Chandrabodhi’s meandering Bhuddist meditations. It combines a wide range of sounds that could sound jarring if mixed in a less artful manner.

Generic Mix #15: Greetings From Tropico

We are back with our 15th instalment of the Generic Greetings mix series, and this time around we bring you Tropico – a collective of crate digging, melon wielding, palm tree swinging party throwers, DJs and designers hailing from the fine cobbled sheets of Norwich, Norfolk.

Generic Mix #14: Greetings From Craig AD

Craig AD, one of the founders of Manchester’s Chow Down club night, has supplied us with this month’s mix. The sounds represented here will be familiar to anyone who’s been lucky enough to attend Chow Down – grime, footwork, jersey and other localised genres from across the globe.

Generic Mix #12: Greetings from ISSUE

For this mix ISSUE delivers us an uncompromising selection of tracks he’s been bumping recently from the hyper aggressive sounds of Death Grips and Young N**** via the infinitely chill Lali Puna with some Insane Clown Posse thrown in for good measure, this is not a mix to be slept on!

Generic Mix #11: Greetings From ThombA

Not new to the game, ThombA has been djing all over Oslo over the past five years, and has recently started producing. Deriving his inspiration from artists such as Tom Ellis, Ricardo Villalobos, Rhadoo, a.r.p.i.a.r, Ark and so on, ThombA delivers a fresh, techy mix with funky samples.
