Generic Mix #28: Greetings From Ava Szajna-Hopgood
"Coming home
Sometimes, in these big sprawling cities we call home, it can be hard to find a part of it that actually feels that way. This mix is inspired by experiences of ASMR, lone taxi rides, solo flights and night buses home that begin to feel like Greek heroic hexameters. It’s a combination of never wanting a night to be over, and that endlessly good feeling of getting home just as the sun comes up."
Ava Szajna-Hopgood is a freelance food, music and arts writer. She writes for Village Underground, Vice’s Munchies, Run Riot, The Debrief and her own vegan blog, Guac & Roll.
This mix was put together with huge help from her brother, GG’s Szajna, and is also dedicated to him.
The artwork is one of Ava's photographs.
