Generic Mix #27: Greetings From Joe in Ohio
The 27th episode of our mix series is super exciting for multiple reasons!
Not only do we have a great all vinyl mix but the artwork is by the newest member of Generic Greeting Collective - Raquel Lowsley.
You can read more about Raquel below but first - the mix from Joe In Ohio (Flyin' Easy/The Flipside).
Manchester based Joe In Ohio set up Flyin' Easy Soul Club back in 2014, a night where you're as likely to hear boogie and modern funk records as you are deep soul 45's.
In the DJ's words:
"A mix of a few of my favourite boogie and disco spins.
A couple of my favourite Marcus Miller cuts in there alongside
some modern funk gems from the likes of Brian Ellis and Computa Games.
Enjoy!"
And now for some more info on our latest recruit Raquel Lowsley!
We've been fans of her work for a long time after she asked Kidmilk, Calum Brodie, Harry McKenzie to contribute to her amazing Used & Abused exhibition in Bristol way back in 2014.
Now living in Manchester after graduating from Bath School of Art we're thrilled to have her on board!
Raquel's influenced by nature and human nature and likes getting high and watching Woody Allen movies. But not at the same time.
