Raquel is a Spanish-Yorkshire illustrator who recently graduated from Bath School of Art and Design and is now based in Manchester. She uses charcoal pencils, ink and collage to create images that are charming, playful and naive. She uses illustration as a form of escapism either to create comforting situations or express feelings of vulnerability that are an intrinsic part of our human nature and she hopes people can connect with. Her work is bright and poppy and can appeal to both adults and children alike.
